Cupid has been around for nearly 20 years. Its userbase is the most varied it has ever been, with thousands of registered users in almost any given country, but the company has been dogged by controversy and even legal action in recent years. Some have tried to get rid of the site, citing its "unhealthy" reputation.
Now, according to a new report by The average height man uk Wall Street Journal, the site is in for some serious restructuring. It reports that the company is "close to closing the doors of its popular Web site to new users." The site, which is free, is supposed to be shut down by next month.
The report says that the site's administrator, Michael Pachter, is looking to raise $5 million in seed capital from the public and venture capital firms. It says the match com login mobile startup will also be looking to hire at least 30 people, and the company will need to sell $15 million worth of its stock to fund its transformation into a new, publicly traded entity. It's unclear what the new name will be for the site, but it's likely to be the more respectable cupid. The site had a similar name before, called Bumble. Bumble was the name of the site when it first launched in 2006. Bumble later morphed into the more well-known Cupid's Arrows. The company originally offered a free service called the "Find Friend" service, which let people see how many people were interested in meeting them. The service is now free. Bumble also offered a photo matching service called "Cupid Checker," which miltha let users match photos with people. However, the company later removed the service from the site after the photos turned out to be stolen. In November 2014, it shut down all its services completely, effectively ending the service as a free service.
While I like the service for its unique way of letting guys see girls they like, it does come with a few limitations: there are only three profile pictures, but I'm only seeing two of them in my feed, which I don't like. Additionally, it doesn't seem to know whether a user is "looking for" or "interested in" a specific girl. If you're looking for a girl, but only see two of her pictures in the feed, it's probably not because she's interested in you (it'll tell you). The app also has some features which I'll come back to later on, but I'll also give you a quick review of the interface itself. First, the interface. The interface is very simple. There are just two profile pictures, which are shown as a grid of small arrows that go in opposite directions from each other. The only thing that is very confusing about the interface is the "Looking For" button. If you click on that button, a tiny black box will appear with a circle and a little "X" over it. This is the button that will take you to the matching application. The first option is the Tinder app. This is the most simple of all the apps.
I haven't used Tinder or OkCupid (there's a decent selection of the former on the Windows Phone Store), but if you are thinking about it, then there is a lot to be said for the Tinder app for Windows Phone. Tinder is a very simple, easy to use app that can be done miralys without even opening the app. It is available for both Windows Phone 8.1 and Windows Phone 8.1 (which doesn't have the same app store as the average height for a man in canada other two) with a pretty slick interface. It uses the Microsoft Graph API, which allows you to see which users are nearby you and to make matches with them. It's simple to use, which is nice.
